It is not every day that a survivor of a cardiac arrest walks into
the fire station to say thank you to her rescuers. That was the case
on May 24, 2022 when a Cotuit resident was part of a recognition
ceremony celebrating the successful resuscitation of her by Cotuit
Paramedics and CCH personnel. The woman suffered chest pain
and a heart attack in the middle of the night recently. After calling
911, the Cotuit ambulance transported her to CCH. As they walked
into the ER she went into cardiac arrest. A team effort brought
the previously healthy patient back to life. Chief Sean Brown
handed out letters of recognition to those involved in the call.
